Safety has never been about checking boxes for me. It's about protecting people, building trust, and creating workplaces where everyone goes home the same way they showed up.
I didn't learn safety in a classroom. I learned it as an oilfield hand saving paychecks to get back to school, and I've carried it through more than a decade of EHS work across environmental consulting, oil and gas, chemical plants, industrial construction, and operations. I've been the new hand nobody was watching out for, and I've been the one running the crew. Heat, plants, pads, permits. I've done the work, so the training isn't theory.
Along the way I've trained hundreds of workers, walked more sites than I can count, led incident investigations, and built safety and environmental programs from the ground up. My approach has always been straightforward: safety should support the work, not get in its way.
As a former Regional Safety Trainer, I learned that the best training doesn't come from reading regulations off a slide. It comes from earning trust, telling real stories, and giving people practical tools they can take back to the job site that same day.
Pelican Safety Group was founded on that philosophy. Whether it's compliance support, audits, program development, or training, the goal is the same: keep people whole, keep the job moving, and build a safety culture that outlasts my visit.
